Two People Killed Due to Heavy Rains in Irkutsk

In one of the districts of Irkutsk, Russia, a family of two has been reported dead, as per Interfax-Siberia. It has been noted that the family refused evacuation when the heavy rains began.

As the intense rains started, relevant authorities came to evacuate residents, but they declined to leave. Subsequently, they attempted to evacuate on their own with the help of a neighbor who owns a boat, but the evacuation attempt failed, leading to their tragic demise.

Irkutsk has been experiencing heavy rains for several days, and a state of emergency has been declared across the entire region.
