Kia Collides with Barrier While Heading to Sevan; Injured Women Taken to Sevan Medical Center

On June 28, a major traffic accident occurred in the Gegharkunik region. According to Shamshyan.com, at around 07:30, the driver of a Kia Cerato with license plate 35 VR 548 lost control while heading to Sevan on the Yerevan-Ijevan highway at the 65 km mark and collided with concrete barriers.

As reported by photo journalist Gagik Shamshyan, as a result of the accident, the passenger of the vehicle was taken to Sevan Medical Center with bodily injuries. The police are investigating the identities of the driver and the injured party. According to G. Shamshyan's information, both the driver and the passenger were women.
