Criminal Case Initiated Over Vahagn Arsenyan's Exemption from Military Service

A criminal case has been initiated regarding Vahagn Arsenyan, the son of Ashot Arsenyan, the founder and president of Jermuk Group and a former member of parliament, based on his exemption from military service, reports hetq.am.

The case was opened under Article 327, Part 2, Clause 2 of the Criminal Code, concerning the fact of evading military service through document forgery or other fraudulent means. It is noted, however, that Vahagn Arsenyan is not involved as a defendant in the case.

It is also mentioned that both of Arsenyan's sons were exempted from military service. His elder son, Arsen Arsenyan, was exempted due to family deferment after getting married during his studies and having two children, while the younger son, Vahagn Arsenyan, received an exemption on health grounds.
