No Armenians Injured in Vienna Explosion, Reports Armenian Embassy in Austria
As reported earlier, an explosion occurred on June 26 in a residential building located in the Wieden district of Vienna, specifically on Preßgasse/Schäffergasse. According to media reports, the cause of the explosion was a gas leak. Preliminary data indicates that there is one fatality and around 15 injuries, with one more person missing.
The Armenian Embassy in Austria has communicated on the same day with the relevant Austrian authorities to ascertain whether Armenian citizens or ethnic Armenians were among those affected by the explosion. The Austrian police have reached out to the embassy to confirm that, at present, there are no Armenian citizens or Armenians among the injured.
