I Want to Inspire Armenian Women: Anna Hakobyan
Mrs. Anna Hakobyan, wife of the Prime Minister of Armenia, shared an excerpt on her Facebook page from an interview with The Armenian Mirror-Spectator.
“I am confident that women can play a significant role in public life, and unfortunately, in Armenia, prior to the Velvet Revolution, women were suppressed and did not have the courage to engage actively in social and political life. I am often asked why I am so active and work so hard. In my role, I want to inspire Armenian women to be more active. I want to show them that they can combine public and political activities with being housewives and taking care of their children. We can support our husbands, take care of our families, and at the same time contribute to our society for the sake of our families,” Mrs. Hakobyan added.
Mrs. Hakobyan also mentioned that the blouse she was wearing was from the Armenian brand Alex, designed by the Armenian brand Mohitas.
