Gazprom Armenia to Cut 1000 Employees, Says Gagik Baghramyan

In the next five years, "Gazprom Armenia" will cut 1000 employees. This was announced today by Gagik Baghramyan, the head of the Public Services Regulatory Commission of Armenia, to reporters.

Baghramyan noted that based on the decision made by the Commission, "Gazprom Armenia" has been given the opportunity to make certain reductions in its staffing. He referred to the optimization program of "Gazprom Armenia".

“But whether they have done it or not, I would find it hard to say. Preliminary estimates suggest that around 1000 employees will be cut, but this will take place over the next five years,” said Baghramyan.

It is noteworthy that after a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin on June 6, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan expressed hope that Yerevan and Moscow would find common ground regarding gas prices.
