23-Year-Old Girl Stabs Her Boyfriend in Yerevan

On June 19, at 12:50 AM, a report was received from a hospital that a 25-year-old resident of Margaryan Street in the capital had sought medical assistance for a "cut-puncture wound of the anterior abdominal wall."

The operational group of the Mashtots police department was dispatched to the scene. According to the medical report, the young man was unable to provide any explanation.

A forensic examination has been ordered. Thanks to operational measures carried out jointly by the detectives of the Yerevan City Police Department and the Davtashen division, on June 21, Mashtots police apprehended a 23-year-old girl from the 1st neighborhood of Davtashen and brought her in for investigation.

The girl confessed that during an argument on the first floor of the building, she had stabbed her boyfriend with a knife she was carrying. An investigation is underway.
