Details Emerge on Vandalism Incident in Jermuk Involving Ambulance

The police have provided details about an incident of vandalism that occurred in Jermuk on June 21.

According to the police report, "On June 21, at 1:30 AM, the on-duty paramedic reported that an unknown individual, in an intoxicated state, stood in front of an ambulance and struck the windshield with an object in hand, demonstrating open disrespect and grossly violating public order, while also using offensive sexual language. As a result of the measures taken, it was revealed that the perpetrator is a 26-year-old resident of the same street. He has been detained on suspicion of vandalism. A criminal case has been initiated regarding the vandalism incident, and the 26-year-old man has been arrested."

Furthermore, the investigation found that around 24:00, during a confrontation inside a "VAZ-21015" vehicle on Factory Street in Jermuk, the individual arrested for vandalism and two other residents of Jermuk assaulted the vehicle's owner, causing physical pain and bodily injury, leading to the owner's hospitalization.

Subsequently, the same young man drove the vehicle without the owner's consent and abandoned it on Shahumyan Street, causing it to collide with a stone fence and sustain damage.

It was also established that the four participants in the confrontation were friends who had been consuming alcoholic beverages on Factory Street in Jermuk before the argument ensued. The other two participants in the altercation have been summoned for questioning. A forensic medical examination has been ordered. The investigation is ongoing.
