The Unruly Ones or Indian Cinema in the National Assembly: Nairi and Hayk Sargsyan’s Selfies in the Parliament
The newspaper "Iravunk" reports: "There is widespread discussion in the media and political circles that the absence of the prominent member of the ruling 'Civil Contract' party, MP Hayk Sargsyan from the 'My Step' faction, is due to Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's anger. Moreover, according to the same sources, N. Pashinyan stated during the party’s board meeting preceding the conference, 'What kind of behavior is this, tell him to not show his face in front of me.'
It seemed that after all this, H. Sargsyan would at least for some time avoid drawing attention with any stories, but surprising as it may seem, that was not the case. This week, during a Q&A session in the National Assembly with the government, Hayk Sargsyan decided to engage not in catching the Prime Minister's eye but rather to film an 'Indian cinema' scene behind the scenes. While the MPs were directing questions to government representatives, an emotional scene unfolded on the last bench reserved for the government, where the Sargsyan brothers met. Nairi Sargsyan, the Prime Minister's assistant who is constantly beside Pashinyan and also appears in the parliamentary hall with the government, encountered his twin brother right there. And the Sargsyans decided to immortalize themselves as brothers with selfies in the country’s number one political hall."
