Putin Bans Air Transport from Russia to Georgia, Issues Warning
Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed an order prohibiting air transportation from Russia to Georgia starting July 8.
As reported by ria.ru, Putin has instructed to ensure the safe return of Russians located in Georgian territory back to their homeland.
Additionally, the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued a call for caution to Russian citizens currently in Georgia. “In light of the protests in Tbilisi, we urge all Russian citizens in Georgia or those planning to visit the country to exercise caution and avoid mass gatherings,” stated the official Twitter page of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
It should be noted that anti-Russian protests have been ongoing in Georgia since yesterday.
