I Have Never Been a Member of Any Political Party: Candidate for the Supreme Judicial Council
Vigen Kocharyan's candidacy for the Supreme Judicial Council has been proposed by the 'My Step' faction. In a conversation with journalists, Kocharyan stated that he has never been a member of any political party and has worked for many years at Yerevan State University, where he was the founding head of the Department of European and International Law.
"Later, I was offered to apply my knowledge in practice, and since 2015, I have been working as the Deputy Minister of Justice, coordinating international legal cooperation, human rights protection, and more," Kocharyan said.
The candidate for the Supreme Judicial Council also referred to Vahe Grigoryan's statement made yesterday, mentioning that it reflects Grigoryan's opinion as a Constitutional Court judge, based on the analysis of constitutional provisions.
