Case of Minor Being Assaulted by Police Officer Progresses
The "Fact" newspaper reports that several residents from Noyemberyan recently contacted them, informing that a traffic police officer in their city had chased and assaulted a citizen, causing bodily harm. This incident involves a 15-year-old boy.
While acknowledging that the 15-year-old minor was not legally allowed to be behind the wheel, a question arises: was this violation justification enough for the police officer to inflict bodily harm?
"Fact" reached out to the Armenian police to inquire about the progress of this case. In response to our inquiry, the police's public relations and media department stated, "There is an internal investigation appointed by the police chief, and the materials created regarding the infliction of injury have currently been sent to the prosecutor's office for a resolution on the matter."
