Ban the Operation of Old Vehicles in Yerevan: A Deputy's Open Letter to Osipyan
The entire capital is flooded with the poisonous air emitted during the operation of old transportation means. This was stated by Gagik Petrosyan, a member of the BHK faction, on his Facebook page, where he addressed an open letter to the Chief of Police of Armenia, Valeri Osipyan.
He specifically noted, “This primarily concerns large passenger and freight vehicles. The presence of such vehicles on the busy streets of Yerevan has become dangerously problematic during daylight hours. The atmospheric air in Yerevan is already highly polluted and saturated with harmful components.”
“As a citizen and as a member of the National Assembly, I urge you to direct the Road Police to immediately ban the operation of such vehicles using the necessary measures prescribed by law. I expect a prompt response. Thank you in advance,” he added.
