Video: Mikitar Hayrapetyan Resigns as Head of Armenian Delegation to Euronest

The Chairman of the National Assembly's Standing Committee on Education, Science, Culture, Diaspora, Youth and Sports, Mikitar Hayrapetyan, is resigning from his role as the head of the Armenian delegation to Euronest. He made this announcement during a live broadcast on Facebook.

“Two days ago, elections were held for the board of the My Step Alliance, resulting in the election of a new board comprising 21 members. My party colleagues have also expressed their confidence in me, which means that my physical workload is going to increase significantly. I am forced to make a choice,” said Hayrapetyan.

He mentioned that after being elected to the My Step board, he would not be able to properly fulfill the responsibilities of heading the delegation in Euronest. “Our work at Euronest requires constant engagement, which I do not find realistic under the current circumstances. As a team, we will find someone who can keep their finger on the pulse permanently,” the deputy stated.
