Live: The Parliamentary Four-Day Sessions Have Started. The Agenda Includes the Election of a Constitutional Court Judge

The National Assembly has commenced its regular four-day sessions. The agenda includes over thirty items.

The session begins with the question of electing a judge for the Constitutional Court. According to Article 166, Part 1, and Article 213 of the Constitution of the Republic of Armenia, the President of the Republic has nominated Vahe Grigoryan for the vacant position of a Constitutional Court judge.

The Assembly will also discuss a draft regarding the activities of the Water Committee of the Ministry of Environment and Agricultural Development, its structural subdivisions, and the state committee on water economy, focusing on the investigation of its effectiveness and issues in the Ararat and Armavir regions. This draft aims to establish the number of members for the inquiry committee formed for this purpose, which will be discussed in the first reading.

Several dozen bills are also on the agenda for a second reading, including a significant package of amendments to the Tax Code of the Republic of Armenia.
