Counterfeit Currency Producers and Distributors Found in Yerevan
On June 17, officers from the criminal investigation department of the Central Police Department acted on operational information and apprehended a citizen suspected of producing and distributing counterfeit money near the Saint Gregory the Illuminator Church on Yervand Kochar Street in Yerevan.
According to photographer Shamshyan.com, it was revealed that the suspect is 42-year-old Arthur P., a resident of the Erebuni administrative district of Yerevan, who was found in possession of several counterfeit banknotes with a nominal value of 5000 drams.
The police also established that Arthur P. had an accomplice, 34-year-old Babken B., a resident of the Armavir region, who was located shortly afterward.
A criminal case has been initiated. Both Arthur P. and Babken B. have been arrested by a decision of the investigator.
