I Will Personally Cover the 650,000 Dram Court Costs Requested by Pashinyan: Haik Alumyan
In my opinion, the court should not seize the 650,000 drams because the amount depends on the complexity of the case, the number of hearings held, and so forth. This is not a case of such complexity that such a sum should be seized. This was stated today by Haik Alumyan, the lawyer of former Armenian President Robert Kocharyan, during a meeting with journalists, responding to Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's demand that the court obliges Kocharyan to compensate 650,000 drams for court expenses.
It is noteworthy that former President Robert Kocharyan filed a lawsuit against Prime Minister Pashinyan, obliging him to apologize for statements containing defamation.
“If a certain amount is decided to be seized, I will personally cover it because the withdrawal of the lawsuit was my initiative, and I still believe that I did the right thing. If we find that the amount to be seized by the court is unjust, we will appeal. We will see what the outcome will be,” said Alumyan.
