When the Mother-in-Law is Also a 'Friend': Police Revelation
The officers of the Nor Hajn police department, acting on operational information, apprehended a 37-year-old resident of Karashamb village on June 12 at 10:00 AM from the intersection of Nor Geghi village, under suspicion of drug possession and use. During a personal search, a greenish-brown, dry, crushed substance weighing about 0.48 grams was discovered wrapped in paper from the man’s pocket, alongside a separately wrapped brown resin-like substance weighing about 1.03 grams, and a dropper. The man stated that the items found were drugs made from cannabis plants, which he kept for personal use.
During the preparation of materials, he also explained that he had grown and tended cannabis plants in a garden plot adjacent to his mother-in-law’s house in Karashamb village, from which he prepared drugs for his own use.
On the same day, at 3:05 PM, an inspection at the mentioned location uncovered 29 cannabis-like plants, measuring between 30 and 70 cm in height, weighing approximately 0.6 kg, which were removed from the soil, packaged, sealed, and sent to the forensic examination department. A toxicological examination has been scheduled. Materials are being prepared.
