Free Healthcare for Children Up to 18 Years Old, Says Torosyan
The healthcare budget of Armenia has increased by 7 billion drams this year, and according to the medium-term expenditure program, it will rise by another 16 billion drams next year. This was stated during a press conference by Minister of Health Arsen Torosyan, who emphasized that these are unprecedented increases.
Torosyan mentioned that with these funds, they aim to implement a number of changes in the public health system, specifically by providing free healthcare not only to children under 7 but extending it to those up to 18 years old. Additionally, they plan to extend the right to free healthcare to retirees who do not have disability issues, among other initiatives.
