Collision In Davitashen Involving Ford Transit and Gazelle Serving Route 57

Today, on June 10, a major traffic accident occurred in Yerevan. Around 07:30, at the intersection of the 2nd and 6th streets in Davitashen village, a Ford Transit with license plate 483 LP 61, driven by 28-year-old Saribek Hovhannisyan, collided with a passenger Gazelle serving route 57, driven by 47-year-old Arthur Manukyan, who resides in Yerevan.

According to Shamshyan.com from the scene, the Gazelle overturned as a result of the collision. Fortunately, there were no casualties or injuries reported at this time.

Authorities have responded to the scene, including Rustam Avetisyan, a senior inspector from the first battalion of the road police's 4th company, and inspector Hakob Martirosyan.

Photojournalists report that the drivers are blaming each other for the accident; however, according to traffic regulations, the mentioned intersection is equal priority, and the vehicle receiving an impact from the right must yield the right of way. In this case, the Gazelle was hit on the right side, thus it was required to yield to the Ford Transit.

The Gazelle was righted and moved to a safe location with the assistance of bystanders.
