Initial Results from Abovyan Elections Announced

As reported, mayoral elections were held today in the city of Abovyan, Kotayk Province. At 20:00, all polling stations closed and the counting began, according to Armlur.am.

Five candidates were present, with the main competition between the current mayor Vahagn Gevorgyan and the candidate from the Civil Contract party, Grigor Gulyan.

The candidates are: Vahagn Gevorgyan, Grigor Gulyan, Sasun Grigoryan, Manuk Mkrtchyan, and Arthur Ghazaryan. And now, the initial results are known.

In polling station 27/9, Vahagn Gevorgyan received 266 votes, while Grigor Gulyan garnered 269 votes. There were 8 invalid ballots. A total of 572 voters participated in the elections.
