Orange Weather Alert Declared in Moscow: Threat of Natural Disasters
On June 9, the temperature in Moscow and the Moscow region is expected to reach 30-32 degrees Celsius. According to forecasts published on the website of the Russian Hydrometeorological Center, an 'orange' level weather alert has been declared for Sunday, indicating a threat of natural disasters.
As reported by RBC, the 'orange' level alert has also been declared in several areas of the Central Federal District, including the Vladimir, Ivanovo, Kostroma, Ryazan, and Yaroslavl regions, due to the heat.
A record high of 32 degrees Celsius is anticipated on June 9, which would tie the temperature recorded in Moscow in 1948. The lowest recorded temperature on this day was 2 degrees Celsius, noted in 1889.
