First-Ever Flight from Yerevan to Van Takes Place
The newspaper "Hraparak" writes: "For the first time in history, a flight has been established from Yerevan to Van. The flight lasted 35 minutes, operated by a Georgian airline. On May 30, the delegation of the Pan-Armenian Games traveled via this flight to Western Armenia to light the torch of the games on Mount Musa, which will be held on August 6.
The head of the delegation, Ishkhan Zakaryan, president of the organizing committee for the Pan-Armenian Games, was received by the mayors of Van (in the recent elections, both male and female mayors were elected in these cities, primarily representatives of the Kurdish party). During the meeting, Zakaryan invited the mayors to attend the opening ceremony of the games in Yerevan, as well as discussed the establishment of regular flights between Yerevan and Van.”
