Community Cleanup at Yerablur

The Ministry of Defense organized a community cleanup today at Yerablur. This information was shared by the spokesperson of the Minister of Defense, Artsrun Hovhannisyan, during a Facebook live broadcast. The gravestones are being cleaned, and the nearby vegetation, which has yet to dry out, is being watered.

Journalism is a profession that often, unfortunately, intersects with falsehoods, intentional distortions of facts and phenomena, and other less noble manifestations. However, even in such cases, there must be certain professional and moral boundaries.

A journalist from the newspaper ‘Hraparak’ visited the ‘Yerablur’ military pantheon yesterday and ‘discovered’ that the area, which serves as the final resting place for our heroes during the struggle for existence, is not well-maintained, the grass is dry, and the FLAG IS ‘TATTERED’. There has NEVER been this type of flag at the ‘Yerablur’ military pantheon (see photos). The flag pole in the media's published photograph is also clearly different. This means that we are dealing with a clear falsification, which, unfortunately, relates to a site regarded as sacred.

The area of ‘Yerablur’ is always well-maintained. Right now, representatives from the Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces are here as part of the cleanup. A convincing request to those spreading falsehoods: stay away from ‘Yerablur’. The heroes resting here have also sacrificed their lives for YOU.

This information was provided by Gevorg Altunyan, the head of the Ministry of Defense's Information and Public Relations Department. It is worth noting that Hraparak.am had reported that there is no water at Yerablur, the vegetation is dry, and the Armenian Tricolor is also neglected and faded.
