Video: Decision Made to Redirect Savings for the Renovation of Certain Yerevan Streets - Hakob Karapetyan
City Mayor Hayk Marutyan's spokesperson Hakob Karapetyan announced on his Facebook page that a decision has been made to allocate a portion of the saved funds for the renovation of several streets in the capital.
“The renovation work on the streets was not included in this year’s initial plan; only pothole filling was planned. However, it was decided during the process to redirect part of the saved funds toward the renovation of several streets. Currently, work is being done on Saralanj Street (and it is being done quite well, not only in terms of the asphalt laying but also in the organization of the work; mainly nighttime work is being done, and the work area is being outfitted properly, and so on),” he said.
Hakob Karapetyan told AuroraNews.am that it would soon be announced which streets would undergo renovation work. He emphasized that such work had not been planned in advance.
Earlier, in an interview with Radio Aurora, Hakob Karapetyan stated that this year no renovation work on streets was planned; instead, pothole filling would be carried out.
