European Union to Provide Additional €25 Million in Assistance to Armenia

The European Union has increased its assistance to Armenia by €25 million. As a result, in 2019, the EU will provide a total of €65 million in support to Armenia. This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, Zohrab Mnatsakanyan, during the report on the execution of the 2018 budget in the National Assembly.

“One of the expressions of the positive dynamics of relations with the European Union was the new technical assistance programs developed for Armenia during the consolidation of proposals under the EU's annual action program for 2019. For 2019, support amounting to €40 million was planned, to which an additional fund of €25 million is added. Thus, we will have a total support of €65 million from the EU, which is a significant increase compared to 2018 and even more so compared to 2017,” the minister said.
