‘Hraparak’. Two Positions for Social Affairs Minister's Brother-in-Law
‘Hraparak’ newspaper reports: ‘Yesterday, a courier came to the editorial office of ‘Hraparak’ and delivered an anonymous letter stating that Social Affairs Minister Zarouhi Batoyan not only hired her brother-in-law, but also entrusted him with two key positions.
‘It turns out that even in the post-revolutionary government, there are people who operate with old and traditional methods, placing their acquaintances and relatives in jobs, violating several norms at once.
Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Zarouhi Batoyan has appointed her advisor Stepan Machyan as the head of the financial and economic accounting department of the ministry, and also, attention, as the acting chief secretary of the ministry's staff.
In other words, she has entrusted two of the most important positions in the ministry to one person. Now a few words about this individual, Stepan Machyan. It turns out that he is a relative of Zarouhi Batoyan—he is the brother of Artavazd Machyan, the husband of her sister, Syuzanna Batoyan, which means that Stepan Machyan is the brother-in-law of Zarouhi Batoyan. That’s what I call kinship.
Employees of the ministry are in constant fear of layoffs, while Zarouhi rewards her relative with two major positions. It appears that the system is in such a dire state that a Superman is needed, in the form of Stepan, who, by the way, does not have the necessary work experience for the positions he's assumed. At least he definitely doesn’t meet the requirements for the chief secretary, but it seems he doesn’t cut it for the department head either,’ the newspaper writes.
