New Tumult Brewing at YSU: "Irates"
"Irates" newspaper reports: "It is said that a new tumult is brewing at Yerevan State University (YSU). Despite the fact that the real candidate for YSU rector, Hovhannes Hovhannisyan, has "calmly entered the process," the atmosphere is tense. He is trying to achieve the coveted rector's chair through soft political technologies, "nibbling" away at opposition.
The interim solution also sees the acting rector, Gevorgyan, attempting to personally carry out "dirty" work to rid the institution of personnel not favored by Soros supporters and those who uphold the values of national thinking, including Vahagn Varagyan and his associates.
In any case, the former Deputy Minister of Education, with a reputation as a "Sorosian" and significant funds received from "Open Society Foundations," has a "steel" agreement with the authorities to be appointed to that post. This prospect is causing deep anger among the university's faculty and student sector, as they have their own candidate and are prepared to fight seriously against the "Sorosization" of the university."
