Azerbaijan Did Not Withdraw Its Forward Positions from the OSCE Mission: Details

According to an agreement reached with the authorities of the Republic of Artsakh, on June 4, the OSCE mission conducted a planned observation of the ceasefire regime along the contact line between the armed forces of Artsakh and Azerbaijan, in the section located southeast of Martuni city.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Artsakh reported that the observation was carried out from the positions of the Artsakh Defense Army by Mikhail Olaru (Moldova), a field assistant to the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office’s Personal Representative (CIO), and Martin Schuster (Germany), an employee of the CIO's office.

From the opposite side of the contact line, the observation was conducted by Ambassador Andrzej Kasprzyk, the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, along with his field assistant Ognjen Jovič (Bosnia and Herzegovina) and personal assistant Simon Tiller (United Kingdom).

The observation proceeded according to the planned schedule; however, the Azerbaijani side did not withdraw its forward positions from the OSCE mission. Representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Artsakh accompanied the OSCE observation mission.
