Parliamentarians Are Facing a Hot Summer

The upcoming months promise to be intense, even extremely busy for parliamentarians. Starting from June 5, discussions will commence in the permanent committees of the National Assembly regarding the execution of the Republic of Armenia’s 2018 state budget. This review will last for 10 days, after which it will be revisited in a plenary session.

Moreover, there will be numerous extraordinary sessions in June to ensure that delayed bills are voted on and adopted, as reported by ArmLur.am.

Indeed, one extraordinary session is already scheduled for June 7, during which a significant package of tax changes will be discussed. However, this will not be the only extraordinary meeting. Essentially, parliamentarians will be working through the middle of the summer, with thoughts of vacation only possible starting in August. Considering that the beginning of the year was almost paralyzed, parliamentarians have little room for complaint.
