Discussions on the Rights of Armenians in Russia
The Human Rights Defender Arman Tatoyan has received the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Russia to Armenia, Sergey Kopyrkin. This information is reported by the Defender's office.
During the meeting, the parties discussed issues related to the protection of the rights of ethnic Armenians living in Russia or going abroad for work, as well as the regional cooperation between the ombudspersons of the two countries for this purpose.
He emphasized the high level of cooperation with the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation, which leads to the issues faced by Armenians in Russia being subject to discussion. Arman Tatoyan expressed his gratitude to the Russian ambassador on this occasion.
At the end of the meeting, both sides expressed their willingness to further develop cooperation to strengthen the protection of human rights.
