I Love My Husband Very Much, Says Anna Hakobyan
Prime Minister’s spouse Anna Hakobyan addressed the foreign trips with her husband during a press conference today. In response to a journalist's question about why she travels so much with her husband and sometimes without him, Hakobyan stated, 'I love my husband very much.'
'I don’t know why previous spouses didn’t accompany their husbands; they also had the opportunity, they could have taken a plane and gone, been by their sides. I have no idea why they didn’t go. I love my husband very much,' said Anna Hakobyan.
On the other hand, according to her, her trips occur frequently because she is engaged in specific activities. She mentioned that she doesn’t plan to go anywhere without purpose, nor will she waste family time and state resources unnecessarily.
'There are those who try to find issues of wasteful spending… I will bring the example of the USA: we spent 10 million drams on the visit and brought back 755 million drams to Armenia. I can’t just go anywhere. I don’t have that time; I have a large family and a husband who needs me to be by his side in Armenia. I have a small child, and leaving him every time to go somewhere is a huge stress for both me and him. First and foremost for me and my family, if my trip doesn’t have any benefits for Armenia, I will never allow myself that; I won’t spend my family’s time, let alone spend state resources,' clarified the Prime Minister's wife.
