Anna Hakobyan on Donations from Representatives of Previous Authorities
In the end, we must get rid of the tendency or habit of projecting past phenomena onto the current authorities and current relationships. This was stated by the wife of the Prime Minister, Anna Hakobyan.
"I want to advise this for one reason – it will save us our time and resources, because I consider it a completely pointless occupation. Now I will speak about this for 5 minutes at this press conference; I consider it a waste of time, you will constantly write articles about this in your media outlet. I regard it as a misallocation of resources.
There is no such thing and cannot be! Anyone can donate to our two foundations. By the same logic, I can say that in the past not everyone was able to make donations to the Prime Minister's wife's foundation. Sometimes during our meetings, people approach from very far away, even through intermediaries, asking whether they can make a donation or not. We have no such complexes with anyone from the past, present, or future," said the wife of the Prime Minister, Anna Hakobyan.
She advised against exploiting the fact that donations were also made to the "My Step" and "City of Smile" charitable foundations by those individuals who previously made donations to foundations belonging to the authorities, an act that Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan had previously criticized as an attempt by oligarchs to please the authorities and gain privileges.
