Drugs Found in Mercedes G; Driver is Deputy Director
The investigative department of the Arabkir police is preparing materials on the discovery of drugs on May 12, following an operation by community police officers.
According to Shamshyan.com, around 4:30 AM on that day, community police officers from the Arabkir department, acting on operational information, apprehended 39-year-old Vardan Gh. from the intersection of Griboyedov and Mamikonyants streets on suspicion of drug possession and use.
Reportedly, he was driving a Mercedes G with license plate 001 QO 02. Also in the vehicle were Yerevan residents 33-year-old Ara B. and 27-year-old Mamikon O.
A preliminary inspection of the car revealed a white substance resembling methamphetamine packaged in a bundle, as well as a similar substance on the rubber floor mat of the driver's seat.
Mamikon O. told the police that the discovered methamphetamine is known as “Crystal” and belongs to him. The police seized the drugs and have initiated forensic chemical and forensic examinations. The individuals mentioned have been released.
