One Student Graduates from Hatzavan School

The Hatzavan Middle School named after Haik Manukyan in the Kotayk region has only one graduate this year, Gagik Tadevosyan. In an interview with NEWS.am, the school principal Susanna Sahakyan noted that the school has merely 36 students. Gagik was studying in a combined class with four other students from the 10th and 11th grades.

“The last class and final ceremony this year was unique and unusual for our school, but just as emotional as in previous years. The reason was that there was only one graduate, Gagik Tadevosyan. Today, we bid farewell to Gagik as he embarks on a new phase in his life. Gagik is a boy with average abilities. He will graduate and a few months later will be drafted into the army. In recent months, he had been faced with the dilemma of whether to join the military under the 'I Am' program or to fulfill his two-year mandatory service. Ultimately, he chose the latter. As Gagik studied in the same class with three 10th graders and one 11th grader, they joyfully saw off their friend today with songs and dances,” said Susanna Sahakyan.

The principal mentioned that Gagik arrived at school in the morning with a bouquet and a cake, gathered with his classmates, shared speeches, played music, and celebrated. The homeroom teacher and friends expressed their good wishes and shared jokes, engaging in conversation.
