The 'Auction of Emotions' Has Crossed a Red Line: Naira Zohrabyan
Member of the National Assembly from the Prosperous Armenia faction made a post on Facebook, referring to the gathering that took place yesterday in Freedom Square. She specifically wrote:
“The Irreversible Consequence of the Cheap Auction of Emotions
Yesterday in Freedom Square, there were threats to 'bash the head of Artsakh President Bako Sahakyan' with stones. A PARA TV operator was stabbed. This is a completely predictable result of systematically creating a destructive environment in the country, conducting 'vetting' between Armenians from Artsakh and Armenia, constantly keeping the public in a state of tension and stress, and furiously deepening the internal divisions within society.
I am not interested in whom the small crowd gathered in Freedom Square was calling to 'bash heads' in support of, nor who is behind this disgusting scene. The fact is that for a year now, the 'auction of emotions' has crossed a red line. In politics, there is also a so-called 'point of no return', a point of irreversibility, beyond which the danger of chaos is great.
We have been warning every day to stop the auction of emotions and not to turn citizens into a mob.
And now it doesn't even matter the reaction of the police or the statements of political forces that they do not have their ears behind this disgusting action.
We are approaching a much more dangerous borderline, consistently dividing society into black and white, and conducting a daily cheap auction of emotions.”
