Anna Hakobyan, Wife of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Gives Interview to Kazakh Xabar 24 Television

“The world today is unstable, which is why dialogue is needed to resolve issues. If there is no debate, there will be no trust. One of our achievements is that there are no serious conflicts regarding the Nagorno-Karabakh issue at present. My role here is insignificant, as I always call on both sides to compromise, which will lead to solutions so that there are no military conflicts and operations. It is important that I can present all these topics at this forum,” she said.

The journalist reminded that Hakobyan, being a journalist herself and leading a media outlet, had promised to closely monitor the developments occurring in the country, firmly criticizing concerning developments and also criticizing her husband, the Prime Minister of Armenia.

“Yes, that is true, I made such a statement. I must say that the media in Armenia today is as independent as it has ever been, and social media and the news published on social networks play an important role. One of the issues of our time is fake news, but I do not think we should violate the rights of website representatives in some way to combat fake news. In fact, the media in Armenia today is so independent that it does not come to criticize anyone, especially my husband, because there are other social issues,” Hakobyan noted.
