Video: Disruptions in Moscow Metro Leave Over 1000 People Trapped Underground for Two Hours
Yesterday, disruptions occurred in the Moscow Metro between the Shchekoprogon and Khoroshevskaya stations, leaving over 1000 people trapped underground for more than two hours.
According to preliminary data, the incident was caused by a drop in voltage on the contact line.
Approximately 1000 people were aboard three stopped trains due to the disruptions. Evacuations began about 1.5 hours after the incident when a backup train arrived. Some passengers had to wait for up to 3 hours.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
