The Driver of the BMW That Fell Into the Hrazdan River Was a Senior Officer of the Criminal Investigation Department
A tragic car accident occurred today in Yerevan, resulting in one fatality.
On May 21 at 23:55, the emergency services received a call reporting the sound of a car crash and cries for help under the Davitashen Bridge in the Hrazdan gorge.
According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, two fire and rescue teams were dispatched to the scene. It was determined that a BMW (driver: A.V., born in 1989) had veered off the road, fallen into the Hrazdan River, and overturned.
According to Shamshyan.com, the driver, 30-year-old Arsen Vardanyan, and passenger Levon Fidanian were taken to the Armenia Medical Center. On the way, A.Vardanyan succumbed to his injuries without regaining consciousness. A.Vardanyan worked as a senior officer in the criminal investigation department of the Yerevan Police's Mashtots Division.
