Threats Against Arthur Isperyan in Cascade Area
Today, a group of individuals approached member of the "My Step" faction, Arthur Isperyan, in the Cascade area, verbally assaulting him. This was reported by ArmLur.am. The media outlet attempted to verify the information with Isperyan, who did not deny that an incident occurred.
"I was sitting in a restaurant in Cascade when 20 people came up to me. I recognized one of them; they are conducting a report with Narek Malyan. I was sitting with children when one approached me and said, 'you were lucky to be with the kids.' I asked, 'what would happen if I were alone?' He replied, 'you would see.'
No other incident occurred, just fighting and insults. What right do they have to do such a thing when I was sitting with children? A group of 20 people in black clothing approaches, attacks, and makes such statements. What could they possibly have done to me if I were alone? Why do they feel so free in this city? They know I am from the "My Step" alliance; they know I have been here since the first day of the revolution, and that has inflamed their anger.
I don’t know what they are thinking. They are being compensated, and they feel comfortable. Roaming around town like that with 20 people. They are even writing 'Lying Nikol' on the walls. They should be held criminally accountable for that alone. They were probably fortunate that I was with my children, just so you know. No one else has had such hostility towards me as those thugs," Isperyan told ArmLur.am.
It should also be noted that Isperyan has not approached law enforcement and is unlikely to do so.
