Fatal Pedestrian Accident Occurs on Sebastia Street

A 20-year-old driver has struck a pedestrian who was crossing the street at an unauthorized spot. This information is reported by Shamshyan.com.

On May 21, at approximately 21:40, a fatal pedestrian accident occurred on Sebastia Street in Yerevan. Tigran N., a 20-year-old resident of Yerevan, ran over a pedestrian crossing the street in an unauthorized area with a BMW vehicle.

According to reports, the driver was sober at the time of the incident, did not flee the scene, called for an ambulance, and medical personnel who arrived declared the pedestrian dead before the driver subsequently contacted the police.

Shortly thereafter, officers from the Malatya Police Department, led by Chief Arthur Zohrapyan, determined that the deceased was 67-year-old Davit Voskanyan, a resident of Yerevan who lived at 17 Shahumyan Street in the Malatya-Sebastia administrative district.
