Proposal by 'Bright Armenia' to Convene Extraordinary Session Rejected
The National Assembly Council has rejected the proposal by the 'Bright Armenia' faction to convene an extraordinary session. This was stated by the leader of the 'Bright Armenia' faction, Edmon Marukyan, during a conversation with reporters.
In response to the observation that it seems old traditions continue, Edmon Marukyan noted, "I would say that even worse traditions are being entrenched, because we now have a specific petition drive, the text of the declaration is ready, but we cannot convene a session. One of the opinions expressed during the session was that most lawmakers were at the courts with the public that day."
Members of the BHK also joined the petition drive of LHK.
