Emergency Incident: Fire Breaks Out in Bus Carrying Students to Excursion in Kapan, No Injuries Reported
Today, an emergency incident occurred in the Syunik Province. Around 08:50, the emergency situations ministry's rescue service received a call regarding a passenger bus burning on the 93 km stretch of the Meghri-Yerevan highway.
According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, the Kapan fire and rescue squad No. 54 promptly arrived at the scene with two firetrucks. The rescuers extinguished the fire that had broken out in the engine compartment of the bus with license plate number 996 OZ 61, which belonged to the brand PAZ.
Fortunately, there were no casualties. The bus was carrying teachers and students from one of Kapan's schools who were on their way to an excursion.
