Pashinyan Meets Tonoyan and Artak Davtyan, Makes Statement: What Was Discussed
The newspaper "Past" reports that the developments occurring in Armenia, which began on Sunday afternoon, have taken quite an interesting turn.
According to sources from the paper, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan spent nearly the entire Sunday in closed consultations with Defense Minister Davit Tonoyan and Chief of General Staff Artak Davtyan. It is unclear what exactly the security officials reported to Pashinyan, but it is clear that the discussions pertained to border tensions and the potential aggression of the enemy.
It has also been reported that on May 20, Azerbaijan will begin military exercises with 10,000 personnel, which presents an evident risk. According to the newspaper, it is precisely due to this factor, along with the small number of participants, that Pashinyan shifted his rhetoric yesterday from euphoric and aggressive statements to a more constructive tone.
Sources from the newspaper claim that he significantly altered his originally planned speech and presented an entirely different version.
