The Prosecutor's Office is Not Officially Informed: Gor Abrahamyan
Given the numerous inquiries, I find it necessary to clarify that the Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Armenia is not officially informed about the court's decision to suspend the proceedings of the criminal case sent to court regarding the events that took place on March 1 and 2, 2008. This was stated by Gor Abrahamyan, advisor to the Chief Prosecutor of Armenia, on his Facebook page.
“As has already been reported, the Prosecutor's Office will file an appeal against the decision made on May 18 by the Yerevan Court of General Jurisdiction regarding the change of R. Kocharyan’s preventive measure. A motion has already been filed and sent to the court regarding the judge's self-rejection,” Abrahamyan wrote. “After receiving the court’s decision to suspend the proceedings of the specified criminal case and to appeal to the Constitutional Court, and after examining the grounds, the Prosecutor's Office of Armenia will express its position on the appeal of this decision.”
