Protesters Prevent Lawyer from Entering Court, Lawyer to Appeal to Prosecutor's Office
Earlier today, protesters near the Yerevan Shengavit administrative district court prevented lawyer Erik Aleksanyan from entering the court. He requested to enter in order to obtain a relevant document that is crucial for his client's case. The protesters did not allow the lawyer to enter.
One of the protesters stated: "Your client's rights have been violated because there is no justice in Armenia. We have blocked access to restore justice, when it is restored, you will come, and you will receive your document."
The lawyer replied, "Anyone of you could have been in place of my client." However, the protesters did not fulfill his wish to enter.
Before departing, the lawyer told reporters that they are preparing to submit a formal complaint to the prosecutor's office to ensure that appropriate legal actions are taken regarding the actions of those involved.
