Prosecutors to Request Recusal of Judge David Grigoryan Who Changed Kocharian's Detention
Prosecutors are set to file a recusal motion against Judge David Grigoryan, who made the decision to change the detention measures for Robert Kocharian, the defendant in the March 1 case.
This was stated by Aravik Khachatryan, head of the Public Relations Department of the Prosecutor General's Office, in an interview with Tert.am.
“The prosecuting attorneys will present a motion to the judge of the general jurisdiction court of Yerevan, David Grigoryan, requesting his recusal. Additionally, I would like to note that the court's decision to change the detention measures will be appealed, and the complaint is being prepared,” Khachatryan stated.
It is recalled that on May 18, Judge David Grigoryan of the Yerevan general jurisdiction court changed the detention measures for Robert Kocharian with the personal guarantees of the current and former Presidents of Artsakh, Bako Sahakyan and Arkadi Ghukasyan.
