IS Members Start Uprisings in Tajikistan Prisons, 29 Dead

A rebellion occurred last Sunday in a high-security prison located in the western part of Tajikistan, resulting in 29 fatalities. This was reported by РИА Новости.

The Tajik authorities announced that 8 of the deceased were killed by other inmates. Among the casualties are three employees of the security service.

The unrest was initiated by inmates convicted of belonging to the Islamic State terrorist organization.

It is known that on Sunday evening, around thirty inmates, armed with knives and other sharp objects, took several guards hostage, later killing them.
