No Bomb or Other Dangerous Devices Found in Opera House, Ministry of Emergency Situations
On May 19, at 13:03, the "911" service received a report that a bomb had been planted in the building of the Aram Khachaturian National Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet in Yerevan and that assistance from rescuers was required.
A fire and rescue team from the Ministry of Emergency Situations immediately dispatched a battle unit, along with a group of rescuers from the Special Rescue Operations Center, a canine unit, and operational and emergency response teams from the National Crisis Management Center. Also involved were instructors from the psychological support division and an engineering rescue unit from the Civil Defense Forces.
Rescuers and police evacuated audience members and staff from the premises.
The police canine unit conducted a search within the building, and no bomb or other dangerous devices were found.
