Robert Kocharian Released from Custody
The Yerevan Court of General Jurisdiction has decided to release former Armenian President Robert Kocharian from custody, based on the guarantees provided by the former and current presidents of Artsakh.
Kocharian, who has been charged with overthrowing the constitutional order and receiving large bribes in relation to the March 1 case, had been in detention since December 7 of last year.
Three other high-ranking former officials are also involved in this case. The court hearings concerning the case of former President Robert Kocharian and the other officials—Armen Gevorgyan, Yuri Khachaturov, and Seyran Ohanyan—began on May 13. The court was evaluating the justification for Kocharian's detention.
